To use the Application, you must create an account. You can register anonymously using only a chosen name and emoji.
You can upgrade your account at any time by linking an email address and setting a password. This upgrade allows for features such as password-based login, account recovery, and receiving updates or notifications.
Regardless of whether your account is anonymous or upgraded, the display name and emoji you have chosen will be visible to other users when you join groups, add or view expenses, make payments, or interact with shared records.

We automatically gather data about your device, including device type, unique device ID, IP address, operating system, browser type (if applicable), and usage patterns within the Application. This information helps us enhance the user experience and functionality of our services.

Additionally, we may delete inactive accounts after a prolonged period of inactivity if we deem it appropriate. Our servers also perform periodic checks and automatically attempt to remove as much unused data as possible — for example, groups that contain only deleted accounts or where all members have left may be fully removed after a certain time.
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards — including encryption, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your data. However, no security measures are foolproof, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please remember that any expense you add is visible only to the other members of the same group. You should only enter information and amounts you feel comfortable sharing with them.
Our servers are located in Germany. Your data is therefore primarily processed within the European Union.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post any changes here and update the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted means you accept the new terms. We recommend reviewing this policy from time to time.
By creating an account and using the Application, you consent to our collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
